After the storm passed, we spent the whole morning hauling out soggy carpets and setting up fans. The basement walls are still dark with moisture, and that musty smell clings to everything. We've got dehumidifiers running nonstop, trying to pull the dampness out of the air before mold sets in. It's a slow, tedious process of drying, wiping, and hoping the water damage isn't too deep.
