포털 다음(Daum)와 다음의 언론사 제휴를 심사하는 포털 뉴스제휴평가위원회가 11월4월 소액 결제 현금화 등 관련 기사를 다수 써내려간 언론사들을 퇴출했었다. 허나 이후에도 몇몇 언론을 중심으로 이렇게 기사가 나타났다 사라지는 일이 반복되고 있는 상황이다.

작년 금감원은 소액결제 현금화 등 불법금융홍보를 방송통신심의위원회에 신청해 사이트 폐쇄와 게시글 삭제, 계정 중지 등을 결정했지만 ‘언론 보도에는 대응하지 않았다. 금감원 관계자는 “언론의 보도는 홍보로 규정할 수는 없어 보여서 판단관리하기 힘든 면이 있을 것입니다”고 하였다.

신세계인터내셔널 직원은 “스마트폰 소액결제는 신용카드 결제와 비슷한 구조이기 때문에 본인이 계좌로 이체가 된다”고 전했다. LF몰 관계자 역시 “휴대폰 소액 결제는 다날, ISP/페이북 등으로 이미 결제가 된 부분이기 때문에 현금으로 즉시 지급하고 있을 것입니다”고 이야기했었다.
